For 2016 the Honda Odyssey is getting a new Special Edition that includes premium features at a lower price point, such as the popular HondaVAC integrated vacuum. Other highly requested features included are a rear entertainment system, 115 volt power outlet and SiriusXM Radio.
“Our Odyssey customers have told us some of the features they value most and we have packaged these in the new Odyssey SE model to create a special value edition that we know American families are going to love,” said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of Honda Sales.
The Odyssey received a number of awards throughout 2015, including the Kelley Blue Book Best Buy for minivans, the ALG Residual Value Award for best minivan and being named the Best Minivan for Families for the fifth year in a row by U.S. News & World Report.
Premium features available on the Honda Odyssey include advanced keyless entry with push button start, a multi-angle rearview camera, Honda LaneWatch with Blind Spot Information system and Neural 5.1 Surround audio.
All Odysseys will continue to be powered by an efficient 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 which produces 248 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque that achieves a class-leading 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway with the help of technology like Variable Cylinder Management.
Just like most Honda vehicles, the Odyssey uses next-generation Honda Advance Compatibility Engineering body structure which utilizes high-strength steel to protect occupants in a collision. Driver-assist safety technology including Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are also available.
